Good Afternoon,
It is my pleasure to announce that Marco Tirillo has been officially named as the Principal of John Wallace Middle School.
During his interview process, it was clear that Marco understands the mission and vision of NPS very well. He articulated his goals to continue the work at Wallace to close our achievement gap, increase equitable discipline and restorative practices. elevate engaging and rigorous classroom practices and ensure effective PLC practices.
Marco brings 22 years of experience in education, including nine years at JWMS. In recognition of his impactful leadership, he was named the 2025 CAS Middle School Assistant Principal of the Year. Known for his warm, hands-on style, Marco builds strong relationships with students, staff, and families. His leadership has led to meaningful initiatives such as the student diversity committee and the school’s No Place for Hate designation. Prior to his time in NPS he served as an assistant principal and teacher in Hartford Public Schools.
Congratulations Marco!
