Chromebook Insurance for 2026-27

Just a reminder:

• For the 2026-27 school year, the district has transitioned all of the Chromebook and Google Workspace consent forms to PowerSchool. WHEN REGISTERING, ALL KINDERGARTEN AND NEW STUDENTS AND FAMILIES ARE REQUIRED TO FILL OUT THE FORMS.
• In addition, as a District policy, we would like to extend the opportunity for families to purchase optional Chromebook Insurance for the 2026-27school year.  Insurance must be renewed annually.  The initial cost of the insurance is $35.00 and families can enroll their student(s) via www.ezschoolpay.com with a credit card or can send a check to the school's Library Media Specialist.  Please make checks payable to Newington Public Schools and include your child’s name and school ID on the check.  Cash is not an acceptable form of payment.  
• After the initial $35 cost, there is a $0 deductible for the first occurrence per year and $50 deductible per occurrence thereafter. The district reserves the right to charge families the full cost of replacing the device if there are repeat occurrences.
