Dear Paterson Families,
We had another wonderful week at Paterson! Our students did a fantastic job staying safe all week long, especially by showing strong self-awareness when playing with friends and resolving disagreements. As part of our ongoing commitment to school safety, we conducted a guided, school-wide lockdown drill this morning, walking students through the process. The students took the drill seriously and showed a great understanding of why we practice these routines to keep our Paterson Panthers safe. Typically, we conduct three lockdown drills throughout the school year and I will continue to keep you updated after each one occurs. Great job, students!
I also want to share my heartfelt appreciation with our PTO Executive Board and event volunteers for hosting such a successful Fall Fest for our Paterson community! On Wednesday, our PTO hosted Paterson’s first-ever Fall Fest, bringing students and families together to enjoy sweet treats, participate in fun crafts, and check out some incredibly decorated trunks. Our students looked fantastic in their costumes and had an absolute blast. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a fun and memorable success!
Proud Moments:
- I really enjoyed reading with River this week, a star second-grader who works hard and consistently meets our school expectations. River shared the book I Promise with me, demonstrating strong reading skills and a true love for the story. Thank you, River, for sharing such a wonderful book. I look forward to listening to many more of our Panthers share their favorite stories with me!
- Hats for Hope, a fundraiser supporting childhood cancer awareness, had fantastic participation today at Paterson! Students and staff made donations and proudly sported their favorite hats. It is always wonderful to see our school community come together for a great cause and share kindness with others. Thank you to all of our students and staff!
I hope you all have a safe and restful weekend!
Warmly,
Dr. Correia
